OFFSITE PROGRAM @ CAAM: POINTS OF ACCESS: GETTING YOUR SH*T TOGETHER FOR ARTISTS

June 25, 2019
7:00 PM - 9:00 PM

In Collaboration With

California African American Museum

Organized by the California African American Museum (CAAM) and Art + Practice (A+P), the Points of Access series continues with a focus on artists and their need to build a sustained practice. In four public programs, CAAM and A+P welcome artists of all stages and genres to explore the many ways to navigate the art world at each point in their careers, and the lessons learned. Join us for the first program at CAAM with Karen Atkinson, founder and creator of the artist-run company and art project, Getting Your Sh*t Together. Atkinson will cover the basics and empower artists to develop sustainable and successful careers on their own terms. No prior knowledge is required and all are welcome.

DRIVING AND PARKING INSTRUCTIONS: If you are driving, CAAM is at the corner of Figueroa Street and Exposition Boulevard, just west of the 110 Freeway. Please note that our parking lot entrance is at 39th and Figueroa. Please put that cross section into your maps search or GPS device.

Parking is $12 during the day. $15 after 5 pm. CASH ONLY. Our mailing address is 600 State Drive, Exposition Park, Los Angeles, CA 90037.

Please note: For those driving to CAAM, there may be delays entering Exposition Park from Figueroa and 39th Street, as well as fewer empty parking spaces than usual due to construction and other park activities.
