Public Programs

Public programs include free artist talks, panels, short film screenings, workshops, author talks, and exhibition walkthroughs. Programs are organized to coincide with the museum-curated exhibitions on view at Art + Practice.

Join Addy Zou, A+P’s Gallery Guide, for an interactive tour of Collective Constellation: Selections from The Eileen Harris Norton Collection. In this tour, Addy will provide insights into the found objects that artists have reappropriated in their works, paying special attention to the ways that objects carry memory and are part of a historical archive. Addy will walk participants through artworks that use family heirlooms, secondhand items, personal belongings, and more to convey new meanings. How are artists asking us to interact with these objects that may feel different from their original contexts? How do these artworks reimagine and memorialize? What are some objects in your life that have made an impression on you? There will be opportunities for discussion throughout the tour, as well as time set aside for individual writing and reflection. This walkthrough is the second of three examining materials found throughout the exhibition.

This program will be taking place virtually via Ring Central, powered by Zoom.
